Night of Bara’at

Shab e Bara’atThe Month of Shaban
Ummul Mu,mineen Hazrat Aisha (Radiallahu anha) Narrates that The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said:Ramazan is the month of Almighty Allah and Shaban is my month (Jame Sagheer, Suyutee Page no. 301)
In other place The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said: the month of Ramazan is the month of Almighty Allah and the month of Shaban is mine. The month of Shaban is a cleanser and Ramazan is a remover ( Ibne Asakar, Jame Sagheer, Suyutee  Hadeeth  no. 4903)
It is said that when the month of Rajab began; The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) would make such a Dua:
Oh Allâh! Bless us in Rajab and Sha ‘baan and cause us to reach Ramadaan. [Bayhaqi shareef]
The Night of 15th Shaban:The month of Sha’baan is a blessed month and Allah Suhabahu wa,ta,aala grants many blessings to people who offer special prayers in this month.
The night of 15th Sha’baan is of special significance. And this is a highly auspicious night. It is known as (Shab-e-Baraat) the night of Deliverance from sins.
Many authentic Traditions reveal that the account of a person’s activities of the last year is closed this evening and simultaneously fresh account is opened for the new year.
On this night Allah Suhabahu wa,ta,aala distributes Rizq (sustenance) to His servants and informs the angels of all the forthcoming blessing and calamities written for us.
Hadrat `Ali (Radiallahu anhu) reported that The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam)  said: “When you have  the fifteenth night of Sha’baan, offer prayer during the night and observe fast during the day; for Allah Suhabahu wa,ta,aala descends to the heaven of the world as the sun sets and says: Is there anyone to seek forgiveness so that I should forgive him? Is there anyone to seek sustenance so that I should provide him? Is there anyone in trouble so that I may relieve him? And so on and so forth, until the dawn breaks.” [IbnMâjah]
300 doors of blessings
Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (Radiallahu anhu narrated that The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said: On this night Allah Allah Suhabahu wa,ta,aala asks if there is anyone asking for forgiveness so that He could forgive him; and if there was anyone asking for good health so that He could give him good health. On this day Allah Subhanahu wa,ta,aala opens 300 doors of blessings and makes the Hell fire haram on His servants who make special prayers this night.” Hazrat A,isha (Radiallahu anha) reported The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said: “Do you know (how reward has this night?” – meaning the fifteenth night of Sha’baan. She said: Allah’s Messenger knows better, Thereupon the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam): “It is in this very night that the record is prepared of every human being who has to be born during the year, and the record is prepared of every human being who has to die during the current year, and (it is during this night) that deeds (of the people) are lifted (to the heaven) and their provisions descend.” The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) also said: “None would be able to get into Paradise except by the mercy of Allah Subhanahu wa,ta,aala.” He said it three times. [Bayhaqi]2 Rakat Namaz better than four hundred year’s worship.

Hazrat Anas (Radiallahu anhu) narrates that once Hazrat Issa (Alaihs salam) passed near a mountain and saw a big white stone. Since it was a very different kind of stone, Hazrat  Issa (Alaihissalam) was looking at it very surprise. The Almighty Allah conveyed him; would you like to see something more surprising than this? Hazrat Issa (Alaihsisalam) said, “Yes, My Lord, the stone burst open and a man came out of it holding a green coloured stick in his hand. There was a grape- tree beside him. The man said, this is my daily food, pointed at the grapes vine’s side” Hazrat Issa (Alaihissalam) asked him.  “Since how long are you busy worshiping Almighty Allah in this stone? He replied, Since four hundred years, Hazrat Issa (Alaihissalam) pleaded in the court of Almighty Allah, I feel that you have not created anyone better than this man, the Almighty Allah conveyed, the person from the people of Muhammad ( Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) who offers 2 Rakat on the night of 15th Shaban  will be better than the four hundred year’s worship.(Nuzhatul Majalis)

Noori Lamps: Lessons of Quran

If Life was to merely be lived for our own personal gain, there would be enormous roohaniyat in spending on yourself but that is not the case.

Have a big heart for the needy, care for the elders and be kind towards family for roohaniyat.
